Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts & Guardianship
Since 1997, the law firm of Buckman and Buckman has offered a variety of estate planning services to our clients. We offer free consultations to help you make plans for your future. Here is a description of the dstate planning documents and services we offer:
Simple Will: $299
This is the basic document that determines who will get your money and property upon your death. If you do not have a will, the Court will decide these issues for you. Many of our clients have wills that are out-of-date, invalid under Florida Law, or have been drafted in another state. We will be glad to review your current estate planning documents for free.
Revocable Living Trusts: $750
This document allows you to direct how you should be supported if you become incapacitated, and allows you to determine who that person or entity should be. It also allows you to take care of your minor children, your pets, and to distribute your income to your beneficiaries after your death in ways that can greatly enhance their lives.
Special Needs Trusts: $2500
This document allows you to leave assets to a disabled spouse or relative without jeopardizing that person's ability to qualify for government benefits, such as Medicaid nursing home funds.
Living Will: $250
This document puts you in control of your health care decisions, even if you are unable to make those decisions in the future.
Durable Power of Attorney: $150
This document can assist in handling the property of a person who has become incapacitated without having to open a guardianship proceeding in court.
Health Care Surrogate: $150
Florida law allows you to designate a person to make health care decisions for you when you may not be able to do so. Included in this important appointment is the power to decide when to withdraw medical procedures.
